Pastor Training

Morell School of Ministry, Evangelism, and Discipleship

It is a true saying that if a man wants to be a pastor he has a good ambition.  For a pastor must be a good man whose life cannot be spoken against.  I Tim 3:1-2a.

The Morell School trains local pastors who have a church but are in need of education in theology, discipleship, leadership, counseling, and teaching.  These pastors usually have little education and very little income.  These students are selected for the two-year training program on the basis of their need, dedication to proclaim God’s word, and desire to live a life committed to Him. The curriculum is based on the Bible Training Centre for Pastors (BTCP) series of ten books. The pastors are in class for one week each month for two years.  Since the school is not in session during July and December, a total 20 sessions are taught over the two-year period.Pastor Graduation

Pastor Jackson Karangu is the Senior Instructor at The Morell School and has taught this curriculum for more than 15 years. Since the inception of The Morell School, there have been over 1,400 pastors trained at the school. In 2014, 50 pastors graduated from the three training locations of the Morell School at Mufu-Embu, Marimanti, and Tseikuru, Kenya. Another class is slated to start this year in the town of Marsabit.

Pastor Jackson reports that, “All the pastors from the classes are very grateful to the Lord for the far they have come. They have sincerely believed and seen it done practically that God makes a way where there seems to be no way.  They feel greatly honored for the support they been offered at The Morell School through Bridges International Development.”

The Morell School and all the activities of Bridges International Development, Inc., are supported by the generous personal donations of our ministry friends.
