Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)

“Bridges” has two “Rite of Purity Passage” training programs scheduled for December in rural Kenya with plans to reach 120 young girls plus their mothers and grandmothers.  This ceremony/training is designed as a Christian replacement program for the female circumcisms which typically take place in December during their school break.  The Rite of Purity training is being taught by Bridges female staff members in cooperation with female medical personal from the Maua Methodist Hospital.  Please be in prayer for this training, these vunerable young girls and their mums, and that the knowledge of the word of Christ be instrumental in overcoming the evil culture and taboos of old tribalism.
